DaVinci Resolve gives you more control than a one-click LUT workflow. For DJI D-Log M footage, a clean node order helps you avoid crushed shadows, clipped highlights, and overcooked color.
Suggested node order
- Node 1: exposure and white balance correction.
- Node 2: technical normalization or your preferred Rec.709/color-management step.
- Node 3: creative LUT from your LUT pack.
- Node 4: final contrast, saturation, skin, and highlight polish.
Why not put the creative LUT first?
If the clip is too dark, too warm, or too flat before the LUT, the creative look may exaggerate the problem. Correct the image first so the LUT has a cleaner base.
How strong should the LUT be?
Use node opacity, key output gain, or a similar intensity control to lower the look when needed. Strong LUTs can be useful, but clean creator footage usually benefits from restraint.
For Pocket, Osmo, Mini, and Mavic footage
The same idea applies across DJI cameras: normalize and correct first, then use creative .cube LUTs for mood and consistency.
LumaKit Studio DJI Creator LUT Pack is a creative LUT pack, not an official DJI technical conversion LUT.
