CapCut is popular because it is fast, but LUT support depends on your app version and platform. If your version supports LUT import, you can use standard .cube LUT files with DJI Pocket 4, Pocket 3, Osmo, Mini, and Mavic footage.
Basic CapCut workflow
- Import your DJI footage.
- Trim and arrange clips first.
- Correct exposure and white balance.
- Import or select the
.cubeLUT if your CapCut version supports it. - Adjust intensity instead of forcing the LUT to full strength.
- Fine tune contrast, saturation, highlights, and shadows.
Common mistake
The most common mistake is applying a LUT before fixing a color cast. If indoor footage is too yellow or outdoor footage is too blue, correct white balance first.
When CapCut LUT import is not available
If your version does not support LUT import, use another editor such as DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro for LUT-based grading, then export your graded clip for final social editing.
