LUTs are color files that help you apply a consistent look to your footage. The exact import steps depend on your editing software, but the workflow is similar.
General workflow
- Import your footage.
- Correct exposure and white balance.
- Apply the LUT.
- Adjust LUT intensity.
- Fine tune contrast and saturation.
CapCut
If your version supports LUT import, add the LUT through the adjustment/color tools and reduce intensity as needed.
Premiere Pro
Use Lumetri Color and apply the LUT in the Creative or Input LUT area depending on your workflow.
Final Cut Pro
Use a Custom LUT effect and select the LUT file, then adjust mix/intensity.
DaVinci Resolve
Apply the LUT on a node, then use other nodes for exposure and contrast control.
